Many thanks to all the runners and helpers today. The results are here:
Hi – we’ve closed the online entries now so that we can organise the numbers and timing chips ahead of Sunday. There will be entries on the day. UK Athletics affiliated runners £17 and non-affiliated runners £19.
Two days to go and it looks like being perfect running weather. Here are the briefing notes for the runners. Please read them carefully. Your safety and enjoyment of the race is our main concern.
Your numbers and timing chips will be available for collection on Sunday from the registration desks in the Alresford Recreation Centre at Arlebury Park from 0830. Please pin your number to the front of your running vest and follow the instructions for attaching the timing chip to your shoe.
I’ll be sending out some more notes and instructions later in the week.
We’re going to close the online entries on Friday, so if you’re thinking about it get your entries in quick. After Friday the only option to enter will be in person on the day using cash (no cheques or cards I’m afraid). I’ll post on Friday how many places we’ll have available.
Great to see nearly 100 runners from Alresford! We set up the run 11 years ago to provide a local event for local people, so it’s fantastic that so many are taking up the challenge.
See you Sunday!
Just one week left until the race now. 320 entries so far, so there are still some T-shirts up for grabs (I have 350 and will allocate them on a first come first served basis). Enter online at:
Just a reminder that the Fun Runs are organised by the PTA from Sun Hill Junior School. There are two fun runs this year: the 500m dash for the under 7’s and the round the park 1k (two laps of the park) for 7-11. There is no 5k road fun run this year I’m afraid because of road closure issues.
Just two weeks to go now. We currently have 285 entries as of this morning. Just 45 UK Athletics affiliated runners and so the field is wide open for those wanting to have a go at the prize money for the first male and female runners.
I’ve ordered 350 T-shirts and will allocate these to the first 350 entrants, so sign up soon if you want to be sure of getting one.
As ever, it should be a great day thanks all the hard work behind the scenes from the Rotary Club and everyone else in the community.
