Coronavirus Update 24 March 2020

Hello everyone. At the HRRL committee meeting last night (held over the internet of course) it was decided to suspend the League for this season. This year’s race will therefore be postponed to Sunday June 20th 2021. All entries from this year will be rolled over. We’ll work out how to do transfers etc as we get closer to the time.

Entry update 14 March 2020

Hi everyone. Just over 400 entries so far. Many thanks to those that have already signed up. We’re trying to think of innovative and eco-friendly things for the run. We’ll be using compostable cups at the water point again this year and Butlers Accountants will be providing reusable water bottles at Arlebury Park. I’m investigating an eco medal option and will publish details if the idea works out. Needless to say we’re monitoring the COVID-19 developments and will post updates here if need be.

Entry update

With Netley and the Alton 10 entries both opening this month, I’ve decided to push back opening the entries until early February so all of you keen club runners don’t have to dig deep and fund 3 entries in a single month…

Alresford 10k 21 June 2020

Hi everyone. I’ve had a few people ask about this year’s race and when entries will be open. The race will be on Sunday 21 June (Fathers’ Day again) starting at 10 o’clock. It is another Hampshire Road Race League event this year. Entries will open towards the end of January. Thanks.

Runners briefing notes 2019

It’s crazy busy here in Alresford today. Tomorrow promises to be busy too, so please read the notes on parking, car share if possible, and allow plenty of time. Thanks!

More about parking…

Parking is limited, please car share if possible. This year we have use of the field along Abbotstone Road SO24 9DG. There is space for about 300 cars and it’s about a 10 minute walk to race HQ – directions are in the race instructions, or just follow the signs to the Duck Race!!!

Limited parking is available at Perins School  SO24 9BS (opposite Arlebury Park) and at the Watercress Line SO24 9JG. Some spaces are available in the town – please don’t block any drives or entrances. Allow plenty of time to park and walk to Arlebury Park. Thanks!
