Hooray! After much investigation I’ve decided to work with Active Training World for the entries this year. They are a UK firm and charge slightly less than the other lot.

I’m just finalising the details for the entry system this year. As soon as I have them, I’ll post them.
I’m going to use chip timing this year because I can link it to the online entry system and get the results out with the minimum of fuss (it’s always been a bit stressful with the manual system). This does, unfortunately, mean the prices are going to have to go up (chip timing is about £2 per runner). I’ve tried to keep the prices as low as possible for as long as possible, but have had to bow to the inevitable pressure. So this year the prices will be £15 for affiliated and £17 for non-affiliated runners with the usual extra £2 premium for on-the-day entries if we have any spaces left. I know it’s a bit of a hike, but I want to try and get medals and T-shirts for everyone, plus the usual watercress and other goodies from the sponsors.
Happy New Year everyone! Now that the festivities are behind us and the days are getting longer, it’s time to look forward to your favourite mid-summer run. This year’s race will be on Sunday 17th June. All of the timings will be as before – so children’s races at 0930 and the 10k at 1000. I’m afraid the prices are going to have to go up this year to cover the additional admin and the costs of the medals and T-shirts. I’ll post the new prices soon once I’ve had the annual fight with the Eventbrite entry system. As ever, if you have any questions, just ask!
