A great race today. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible and to the runners who made all the preparation worth while.
The preliminary results are here -> Alresford10k_Results_2015_Prelim
Congratulations to Carmen Sanchez Toribio who set a new ladies course record of 36.29
We don’t use chip timing as we’re a charity race and we’d rather spend the £1000 it would cost for chip timing on good causes instead. So there may be mistakes. Please do get in touch if you spot a problem.
In many cases the Eventbrite booking system has sent me your UK Athletics number instead of your club name. Let me know if you want me to change this please.
Here’s a map showing where the parking is for the 10k and Fun Runs -> 10k_Parking
There’s lots going on in Alresford on Sunday 21st June, so please allow plenty of time to park, register and collect your number. If the car parks are full, then there is on-street parking around the town, but please be considerate and don’t block drives or businesses. Thanks.
I’ve made a list of runners and their numbers here: Entries_2015_Alpha_PreEntries.
Please check your number and come along and collect it from registration between 0830 and 0945 on Sunday.
I’ve also updated the briefing notes here: Briefing notes 2015 v1
We will be offering on the day entries on Sunday. Registration opens at 0830 and closes at 0945.
Online entries are now closed. All numbers can be collected from registration on Sunday morning from 0830. I’ll send out a note tomorrow with everyone’s allocated number. If you entered by post, please collect your number along with the others – we’ll give you your SAE back if you sent one!
Online entries have been extended until 10pm on Tuesday 16 June. My apologies to those who tried today and couldn’t buy tickets.
Fitique, the new sports boutique in Alresford are also supporting us this year. Learn more about them at: https://www.facebook.com/Fitique
I’ve uploaded the briefing notes for the runners here => Briefing notes 2015 v1. Please do read these before you come along on Sunday the 21st.
A quick note about our sponsors, without whom the race simply wouldn’t be possible:
Alresford Salads and The Watercress Company sponsor the T-shirts and medals – a huge commitment.
The Naked Grape provide all the water and deliver it onto the course.
Prospect Fencing sponsor the race numbers and UK Athletics Race license.
The Watercress Line give family tickets as Fun Run prizes.
Servicepoint provide the lead car and driver.
Fyffes give us the bananas for the finish line.
Charters Estate Agents provide the kilometer markers and water bottles at the finish.
Local businesses give us a range of prizes, so thanks to: The Co-op; Hair Art (fantastic prize this year); Itchen Valley brewery; The Bell. And there are others in the works!
Good news! The Watercress Line have once again given us family tickets as the prizes for the Fun Runs. These are great prizes, plus, of course, you’ll also get a trophy if you’re a winner.
